VoIP Traffic Generation and Fraud Detection
DISCLAIMER: The StarTrinity software can not be used for any illegal operations. We have no liability for using the software.
Part 1: VoIP Traffic Generator with masking
We offer StarTrinity softswitch software with looped VoIP
traffic generator feature. In case of money transfer via another country, the generated VoIP traffic goes in this way:
Softswitch → your company → VoIP route → destination country(ies) → partner telecom operator(s) → softswitch (back to same softswitch)
- Voice call is generated by our softswitch, and received by our softswitch. This simulated SIP call looks like a real voice call with RTP audio, random duration before and after answer,
random “call busy” or “request terminated” release codes.
- If the generated artificial call is terminated by some other VoIP route, it is cancelled immediately to avoid loss through this money transfer.
- It is possible to configure traffic daily curves, call generator start/stop schedules to make the generated VoIP traffic look like real in CDR. ASR and ACD is configurable per “dialer campaign”.
- A and B numbers (caller ID, called ID, ANI, CLI) could be generated randomly or uploaded via CSV files
The generated VoIP traffic could be used for various legal purposes:
In addition to the software, we offer termination-side money transfer service.
We have direct Tier1 operator partners (and number ranges) in the
following high-revenue destinations for the generated VoIP traffic monetization:
- Morocco
- Algeria
- Tunisia
- Chad
- Mauritania
- Congo Republic
- DRC
- Mali
- Senegal
- Ethiopia
- Somalia
- Uganda
- Zimbabwe
- Ghana
- Burkina faso
- Central African Republic
- Guinea
Techniques to hide (mask) generated traffic
We offer the software and our services to help you to mask the generated VoIP traffic. We can not publish here all the techniques, but here is the list:
- Play 2-side real audio recordings
- Make realistic ASR, ACD, PDD, and other SIP flow details
- Make realistic call volume daily and weekly chart
- Use multiple destination number ranges
- Mask SIP User-Agent and Server SIP headers
- Mask and randomize SIP call flow to allow fingerprinting
- Some other things

Part 2: Generated VoIP Traffic Detection
With our help (software and services), you can detect the generated VoIP traffic fraud, uncover money laundering schemes, find out the crime within your company.
We can not publish all the techniques here (you should understand why).
Techniques to detect and block generated (artificial) VoIP traffic
- Use prefix-based blacklists: disallow country prefixes with high termination rates
- Use prefix-based whitelists: allow country prefixes with low rates
- Monitor your CDRs to see abnormal activity at high-revenue termination country prefixes
- Detect patterns in SIP call flow and use fingerprinting to detect artificial calls
- Use our AI-based CDR analyser
