Our free and open source software for Windows, Android, Linux "Continuous Speed Test" tests wifi internet connection to make sure that wifi connection is stable a long time. Reliability of wireless connection depends on configuration of WiFi routers, position of antennas and obstacles between device and hotspot. With our benchmark testing tool, you are able to compare quality and reliability of wifi connection for various configurations and antenna locations. The wifi speed test reports following:

Upstream bandwidth
Downstream bandwidth
Upstream packet loss
Downstream packet loss
Round trip time (RTT) or ping delay

It is possible to run the wifi test without internet, to just test your wifi signal: run the tool as client on first device and run as server on another device, to check wifi quality between them.

Note: the wifi speed tests may crash your wifi router or client hardware, if it is not reliable. In case of crashes, please restart hardware and report the problem to vendor.
